The Two Rivers Parks and Recreation Department continues to make improvements at Neshotah Park.
From July to August, new walking and biking paths have been installed to help people access the park and the beach.
Department Director Mike Mathis says funding for the project comes from a grant through the Wisconsin DNR as well as some city funding.
The concrete paths were constructed not only to help pedestrians but also to encourage bikers to use alternative routes, such as Pierce Street, for safety reasons.
The city has also installed two new picnic shelters for visitors to enjoy the park. Mathis also tells SeehaferNews.com that the restroom at Neshotah Park will also get a facelift in the future.
That will include making it more ADA accessible and having updated equipment.
This is all part of the 2023-2024 Neshotah Park Master Plan that the council approved.
