A De Pere-based hospice is getting some more support from the community.
Unity Hospice has been chosen as a recipient of funds from the Jerry Parins Cruise for Cancer for the tenth consecutive year.
The Jerry Parins Cruise for Cancer is a motorcycle ride to benefit cancer patients and families throughout Northeastern Wisconsin.
Since its inception 21 years ago, Cruise for Cancer has donated $3 million to local cancer organizations.
Unity Hospice was granted $20,000 from the organization, which Development Director Jenifer Allen says will “ensure patients and families who are underinsured or lack financial resources can receive the dignified, holistic care they deserve.”
