A champion has joined the Lakeland University Board of Trustees.
The university has shared that the Kohler Company’s Vice President of Internal Audits and Chief Audit Executive, Victoria Champion, has been elected to serve a four-year term on the board.
Champion comes into the position with nearly three decades of experience in driving financial integrity, commercial risk assessment, and enterprise-wide mitigation strategies.
She is also highly skilled in fostering strong relationships with stakeholders and influencing business strategy positively, all of which will be used to grow Lakeland University.
The university’s President, Beth Borgen, is excited to see what she will bring to Lakeland, stating, “As higher education continues to face challenging headwinds, Victoria’s experience in finance and risk assessment, as well as international relations, will be a great addition to our board.”
Before her time at Kohler, Champion worked abroad in the United Kingdom, serving in positions with the Bank of Ireland, ScottishPower, and other international entities.
