
A loud noise call in Two Rivers ended with two men being arrested.
Two Rivers Police were called to the 2100 block of Hawthorne Avenue last night (August 21st) at 10:15 p.m. for a report of what sounded like an explosion.
During their investigation, law enforcement found out that it was a gunshot.
The homeowner, 24-year-old Caleb Wenker, admitted to police that he fired a short-barreled shotgun in his home.
The Manitowoc County SWAT team was later called in after it was reported that another person could be inside the house.
23-year-old Carlos Pina of Two Rivers was located in the home and found to be in possession of a rifle as well.
Lieutenant Matthew Lutze says both men were arrested, with Wenker facing charges of 2nd-degree recklessly endangering safety, possession of a short-barreled shotgun, as well as misdemeanor charges of bail jumping, disorderly conduct, and alteration of property identification marks.
Pina is charged with felony and misdemeanor bail jumping and possession of THC.
