Officials have identified the woman whose body was found at Peninsula State Park.
An autopsy was conducted on 61-year-old Carol A. Peterson by the Brown County Medical Examiner’s Office yesterday, the results of which are still pending.
Peterson was found in the water near the Nicolet Bay Campground at around 8:15 Tuesday morning.
The case is still under investigation, and Door County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Kyle Veeser says no additional details are being released at this time.
