The City of Two Rivers wants to be more transparent with its residents.
In an effort to improve this transparency, the City is set to launch a new digital community newsletter.
New City Manager Kyle Kordell spoke with SeehaferNews.com to discuss what residents can expect in the newsletter.
“This is going to have timely updates on things the council is up to, community happenings, and public opinion polls on a variety of topics,” he explained.
He also assured the public that the old newsletter will continue to be sent out as well/
He said assuredly, “The hardcopy paper newsletter will still be in the utility bill, we’re not taking anything away from anybody. That’s not going anywhere.”
He also added, “This new digital newsletter from City Hall will allow us to do a better job of meeting residents where they are and engaging on a new level.”
In addition to the launch, the City is offering residents the chance to pick the name of the newsletter.
Currently, there are five titles to choose from, including Two Minutes with Two Rivers, Cool City Current, Harbor Happenings, Cool City Connect, and The Two Rivers Current.
City Manager Kordell believes that this newsletter belongs to the people and, therefore, the people should get the chance to name it.
Votes to pick the name will be accepted until Friday (August 22nd) at noon.
Those interested in casting a vote can do so by visiting the Two Rivers City Hall Facebook page.
