
One person is in custody after a road rage incident in the City of Appleton.
The Appleton Police Department responded to a weapons call on Saturday (August 16th) at approximately 12:45 p.m. in the 900 block of West Wisconsin Avenue.
Officers arrived on scene to secure the area and ensure the public’s safety, confirming that no injuries or property damage were reported.
Witness accounts stated that the incident began as a driving dispute between two vehicles.
During the dispute, one of the drivers, identified as Mickeal Felton, produced a pistol, fired it, and fled the scene.
Authorities were able to identify the suspect vehicle through witness interviews and nearby surveillance footage, and just before 4:00 p.m. officers were able to locate and take Felton into custody.
Felton was then transported to the Outagamie County Jail and charged with First-Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and a Probation Violation.
