A woman was arrested over the weekend after causing a scene in Downtown Manitowoc.
A Manitowoc Police officer was dispatched to the 400 block of North 8th Street on a report of a woman acting strange.
The officer arrived to find the woman bent over at the waist, shaking her rear before darting into traffic.
She quickly got back on the sidewalk but ignored commands from the officer.
The woman claimed she was being chased before trying to walk across 8th Street, which the officer described as having “a plethora of cars” driving in both directions.
The officer grabbed the woman’s arm to keep her from crossing the street, which is when the woman began screaming and trying to pull away.
A backup officer arrived, and they took her to the ground, placing her in handcuffs.
However, she tried to crawl away and continued to scream.
A Captain with the Manitowoc Police Department was also called to the scene and brought with him a restraint device known as the wrap.
The woman was placed in the wrap and taken to a local hospital, where she continued to resist.
The 39-year-old was eventually medically cleared and was taken to the Manitowoc County Jail.
A search of her belongings revealed THC vape concentrate and several knives.
In total, she was charged with Disorderly Conduct, Obstructing or Resisting an Officer, Possession of THC, a subsequent offence, and Felony Bail Jumping.
