The City of Sheboygan could be moving closer to getting a public safety campus.
The City’s Common Council will meet tonight (August 18th), and on the agenda will be discussions and a potential vote on development plans for the Sheboygan Public Safety Campus.
The campus would include police department training spaces, evidence storage, a fire training tower, and much more.
Currently, Wendel Company – Five Bulges Design is conducting a study on the state of things at various public safety facilities, including Fire Stations Two and Three, with the results showing that many aspects of the facilities are outdated, not up to code, and not robust for the growing needs of the City of Sheboygan.
The Council will first begin discussions on this matter in closed session, where they will be presented with the results of the Five Bulges Design study.
After this presentation, they will reconvene in an open session for a vote to determine whether or not the project can move from the study phase to the schematic design development phase.
The Five Bulges Design team is well-versed in construction management and has experience in designing fire stations, police stations, and emergency medical stations.
