
Judith Mae Wind, age 81, of Manitowoc, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 15, 2025, at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay, with her children by her side as she journeyed into eternal rest.
Judith was born on October 8, 1943, in Manitowoc. She was the daughter of the late Anton and Priscilla (Klar) Bonin and the youngest of 10 children. Judith dedicated herself to a fulfilling career as a registered nurse, offering her care and compassion at Holy Family Hospital, St. Mary’s Nursing Home, and the State of Wisconsin. Judith had a wide range of interests that brought her joy throughout her life. She loved theatre, sewing, quilting, reading, golf, playing cards, mahjong, and traveling. She also enjoyed bowling in her younger years. But above all, it was her family and friends that Judith cherished most. The warm conversations, the shared laughter, and the simple joys of being together were what truly filled her heart. Judith was a proud member of the St. Francis of Assisi Parish, where her faith and community played a vital role in her life.
Judith is survived by two children: James Wind Jr. and Linda Wind; granddaughter: Caroline Wind; brother: Richard “Sonny” Bonin; two sisters-in-law: Dorothy Bonin and Bonnie Bonin. Nieces, nephews, along with other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Anton and Priscilla Bonin; five sisters and four brothers-in-law: Bernice (Donald) Allie, Hildegard (Ralph) Sieracki, Violet (Arther) Edinger, Charlotte (Richard) Sobel, and Mary Ellen Bonin; three brothers and one sister-in-law: James Bonin, Thomas Bonin, and Joseph (Janet) “Donald” Bonin.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 22, 2025, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Waldo, 1121 North 14th Street, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Nicholas Stellpflug with burial to take place at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Manitowoc. A visitation for family and friends will be held at the church on Friday, August 22, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. until the time of services at 2:00 p.m.
