A local semi-pro football team will be battling for a league championship today.
The Sheboygan County SaberCats will face off against the Illinois Cowboys at 5:00 p.m. on Horlick Field in Racine, with the winner being named the Midwest United Football League Champions.
The Cats are no strangers to this pressure, as they have made the league championship each of the last four seasons.
The last time these teams squared off, the Cowboys had the ball down 28-22 with just five seconds left.
A pass into the endzone was tipped by Zay Kelly, and returned the distance by Antonio Fontanez for a game season touchdown.
Today’s contest will be live-streamed on the Sheboygan County SaberCats Facebook Page.
