Milwaukee County has made a move to combat the growing opioid crisis.
The county has approved $9 million in funding for prevention and recovery initiatives.
The funding, proposed by County Executive David Crowley in July, comes from settlement dollars and will support seven projects.
These include grief counseling services, the development of overdose prediction tools, and efforts to improve emergency medical response.
