The sounds of mariachi music will be hitting the stage in Downtown Sheboygan tonight (August 14th).
The latest instalment of the John Michael Kohler Arts Center’s Levitt AMP Music Series is set for the City Green Stage this evening, beginning at 6:00.
Tonight’s opening act will be Milwaukee-based musician Caley Conway.
Conway specializes in themes of love and codependence in her music and has shared the stage with artists such as Phoebe Bridgers and Julien Baker.
Then, taking the stage will be Grammy Award Winner Mireya Ramos and the Poor Choices.
The group highlights musical traditions of the U.S.-Mexico border, blending the genres of mariachi, ranchera, jazz, and country music.
Those in attendance are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket to view the performances.
