The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is expanding its opportunities to go deer hunting this year.
The DNR is offering bonus antlerless deer harvest authorizations that will go on sale next week.
The first of the bonus authorizations will be available for purchase on Monday (August 18th); however, sales for Manitowoc, Sheboygan, Calumet, Brown, and other area Counties that fall into the Central Farmland one will first be available on Tuesday (August 19th) at 10:00 a.m.
Bonus authorizations, regardless of deer management zones, will cost $12 for Wisconsin residents and $20 for non-residents, while authorizations for those 11 years or younger will be $5.
The amount available will vary on a by-county basis, and in Manitowoc County, 300 will be offered for public lands and 2,000 will be available for private land hunting.
On Tuesday, those looking to purchase a bonus authorization can join the online queue by visiting gowild.wi.gov.
