An elderly couple is safe after their vehicle ended up submerged in a retention pond.
Howard Fire Rescue was called to Highway 41 and Shawano Avenue yesterday (August 11th) at 7:40 a.m. for a vehicle that left the roadway and ended up in the pond.
Firefighters were able to react quickly as the vehicle became completely submerged.
The two elderly occupants were able to escape the vehicle but were unable to reach shore.
They were later pulled safely to shore and taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
