Sheboygan Area organizations are giving entrepreneurs the chance to turn their dreams into reality.
Accelerate Sheboygan County, an initiative of the Sheboygan County Innovation Council (SCIC) and the Sheboygan County Economic Development Corporation, have partnered to hold a regional Startup World Cup on September 8th at the Weill Center in Downtown Sheboygan.
The global Startup World Cup series gives local startups the opportunity to pitch their business ideas and is part of over 100 regional competitions happening worldwide.
The winner of the Sheboygan contest will receive $2,000 in funding and will be entered to participate in the Startup World Cup 2025 Grand Finale in San Francisco, California, with a chance at $1 million in funding on the line.
Those interested in participating in the Startup World Cup are invited to apply online prior to September 3rd.
The event will also be open to the public and free to attend, with the audience playing a role in the night’s festivities as they will get to choose the People’s Choice Winner, who will receive $1,000.
Understanding what this competition can mean to participants, Justin Vanneiuwenhoven, Chair of the SCIC, said, “We’re excited to showcase local and statewide innovation and provide entrepreneurs a direct path to global recognition.”
