The Manitowoc County Expo Board is gearing up for the 2025 Manitowoc County Fair.
This year’s fair runs from August 20th through the 24th.
Facilities Manager Jennell Shelton and the 2025 Manitowoc County Fairest of the Fair Eva Salm were on WOMT’s Be My Guest program to highlight some of the big events returning this year.
Salm says that includes Lew-E’s Comedy Circus at 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., and 5:30 p.m. each day.
There will also be a Children’s Teeny-Weeny Donut Contest every day at 1:00 p.m. Shelton mentioned demonstrations from Sarah the Crazy Canning Lady, presented by All American 1930.
“This is all going to be in the exhibition building,” she noted. “I met her last year, and what great enthusiasm. And again, wanting to help us to get healthy and how to do your own vegetables at home, and cook, and pressure cook, whatever it is.”
Another popular event is the Sea Lion Shows.
“They do a great performance,” she exclaimed. “The sea lions are just jumping around and doing exactly what you’d hope to see and the tricks that they do. And again (it’s) a full event. So, if you want to be there, you’re going to want to be there early. But we do have multiple show times.”
There are also special events each day, including the Celebrity Cream Puff Eating Contest at the Rock Pavilion on August 21st, as well as the Tractor Pull at 7:00 p.m. on August 22nd in the Grandstand.
General admission tickets did go up.
Admission will be $15 this year for general admission; however, season passes remain $40, and senior and veteran tickets are still $6.
