A member of the SeehaferNews.com team is being honored by the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association.
Steven Devine, the morning News Anchor on WOMT Radio, was named the Young Professional of the Month for August.
Steven joined the Seehafer Broadcasting team in 2023, taking over the morning slot after the retirement of industry icon Damon Ryan.
Since then, he has evolved into the Voice of Manitowoc News, covering a wide array of stories, including the Elijah Vue case, and many local governmental stories.
He has played a key role in WOMT being named the 2024 Medium Market News and Talk Radio Station of the Year through the WBA, and received several awards for his stories at the WBA Awards for Excellence Gala.
Steven got his start in radio during his time at UW-Oshkosh, where he interned at a community radio station.
He then became the Production Director at WRST, the UWO station, joined the news department at a station in Illinois, and finally landed in Manitowoc.
He encourages young broadcasters to “Always be willing to listen and learn. In a field focused on what you know what to do in broadcasting, those lessons will lead to a fulfilling career.”
