A Milwaukee man accused of impersonating someone else in a threatening letter case has entered a not guilty plea.
Prosecutors say Demetric Scott sent letters to President Trump while posing as Ramon Morales-Reyes, a man scheduled to testify against him in a 2023 robbery case.
Morales-Reyes was later detained by ICE, but investigators determined the handwriting on the letters didn’t match his.
Scott now faces charges of identity theft, witness intimidation, and two counts of felony bail jumping.
