Another Manitowoc man has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor numerous times.
The investigation into the 34-year-old man began on June 11th, when the Manitowoc County Department of Health Services Child Protective Services received a report of an incident.
A woman reported coming home from work on a lunch break one or two weeks prior to find a minor, whose relationship to her was redacted, engaged in sexual contact with an unknown male who appeared to be older than 18.
The victim then told CPS that they had been talking with the suspect online for several months, but told him they were 20 years old.
The woman claimed she told the suspect the victim’s real age, which was also redacted from the police report, and he was surprised.
However, the two allegedly continued to talk and had sex again.
The woman told police that she turned off internet access on the victim’s phone, but the suspect allegedly bought her a tablet so they could continue to chat.
The suspect was located on August 5th and was taken into custody.
During his arrest, he turned over items of drug paraphernalia and admitted to three separate instances where he and the victim had sex.
He claimed that he initially believed the victim was 20 years old, but after learning their real age, he continued to speak with them and had more sexual contact.
He also allegedly admitted to supplying the minor with a tablet and a phone so they could stay in contact.
He is facing charges of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Repeated Acts of Sexual Assault of a Child, and three counts of Sexual Assault of a Child.
