A man is in police custody after allegedly stealing someone’s phone and later running over the victim with a U-Haul truck.
According to court records, Jamal Turner reportedly asked to use the victim’s phone before driving off with it, while the victim clung to the vehicle.
The individual was dragged for several blocks before falling, at which point Turner allegedly ran over their right leg.
Turner is now facing multiple charges, including robbery and reckless endangerment.
Police say the stolen phone was found in Turner’s pocket during a traffic stop.
