The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has extended an Air Quality Alert for all of Wisconsin until noon on Tuesday (tomorrow).
Canadian wildfire smoke will continue to impact the state’s surface air quality over the next 24 to 48 hours as widespread haze and smoke from wildfires in Canada and the Western United States will create Air Quality values to reach the “Very Unhealthy” category through Tuesday (tomorrow) evening with the possibility of another extension of the Alert into Wednesday.
Those who suffer from asthma or heart disease are asked to limit any outdoor or strenuous activities and stay indoors if possible.
Please keep quick-relief medicine handy if needed and contact your health provider if you experience any symptoms.
Seehafer Broadcasting will provide updates on the air quality forecasts as conditions can change quickly during wildfire smoke events.
