
The founder of Stecker Machine Company in Manitowoc has passed away.
Gerald “Jerry” Stecker died unexpectedly on Tuesday (July 29th) at the age of 75.
A Manitowoc native, Jerry attended Hillside School before graduating from Valders Public School in 1968.
He served an apprenticeship to become a Journeyman Tool and Die Maker at Mirro.
He then founded Stecker Machine in 1973.
Following his retirement, Stecker kept a hobby farm, raised a family, and enjoyed spending time at a cabin in Crivitz with his wife Donna.
Funeral services for Jerry Stecker will be held this upcoming Monday (August 4th) at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church at 11:00 a.m.
Visitation will take place on Sunday (August 3rd) at the church from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
