A Green Bay man is facing charges after stabbing someone who tried to sell him drugs.
WBAY reports that 49-year-old Ray Long made his initial appearance in Brown County court, where his bail was set at $100,000 cash.
He did not waive the time limit for his preliminary hearing and will represent himself unless a lawyer is found by August 8th.
Long is facing attempted 1st-degree intentional homicide charges after Green Bay Police were called to South Monroe Street on a report of someone who was attacked with a screwdriver.
The victim was stabbed in the neck and left shoulder and was treated on-scene before being taken to a local hospital.
The person said that they thought Long was offering them drugs for money, but when they found out there was nothing, the stabbing victim asked for their money back.
That’s when a fight broke out, and Long used the screwdriver he got from a woman to start attacking the victim.
