A Calumet County meat processor is one of nine other groups receiving grant money through the Wisconsin DATCP.
The 2025 Meat Processor Infrastructure helps groups with projects to modernize and grow their businesses, develop new products, or expand their market reach.
Hickory Hills Country Meats LLC in Chilton will receive a share of $250,000 to purchase equipment that will increase its harvest capacity.
They will have to provide a 100% match of the grant amount they got.
The announcement from the DATCP did not specify the amount of money Hickory Hills is receiving.
The money comes from the 2025-2027 state budget.
