The road to the Midwest United Football League Championship will go through Sheboygan County.
The MWUFL released their post-season pairings, and the Sheboygan County SaberCats earned the #1 seed in the North Region.
The Cats steamrolled their competition all season long, outscoring the opposition 282-91 over their seven games played.
They did have two games canceled for various reasons, but garnered enough attention to be ranked the #10 semi-pro football team in the nation by the National Bowl Series.
Their strong regular-season performance earned the SaberCats a first-round bye.
They will take on either the River City Rough Riders or the St. Paul Pioneers in round two, both of whom played Sheboygan County tight earlier in the season.
On the other side of the bracket, the Midwest Renegades earned a first-round bye and will face the winner of the matchup between the Illinois Cowboys and the Leyden Lions.
