The Sheboygan Area School District (SASD) will again be offering free meals to students this school year.
The district has shared that it qualifies for the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) of the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs.
By qualifying for the CEP, all enrolled students in elementary, middle, and high school will be able to enjoy nutritious breakfasts and lunches at no cost throughout the school year.
The CEP is designed not only to foster the well-being of students but also to remove financial barriers for families, ensuring that no student goes hungry at school regardless of household income.
Excited at the chance to continue the program, the district has said, “The SASD aims to foster a healthy learning environment by providing students with balanced meals that contribute to their overall health and academic success. The CEP program not only alleviates the financial burden on families but also promotes a sense of community and support within our schools.”
