The Milwaukee Common Council is convening an emergency meeting on public safety.
This meeting comes in response to a surge in violence along Water Street.
Scheduled for Wednesday morning, the meeting will focus on exploring potential solutions.
The urgency follows a double homicide outside a nightclub nearly two weeks ago and two additional shootings over the weekend at Water and Knapp.
Police have arrested one individual linked to the nightclub shooting, while others remain at large.
