The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has issued an Air Quality Advisory for all of Wisconsin until noon on Thursday.
Canadian wildfire smoke will impact the state’s surface air quality over the next 24 to 48 hours as widespread haze and smoke will slowly spread southward, creating the possibility of Air Quality values reaching the “Very Unhealthy” category during the Advisory period.
Brief improvements may be seen on Thursday before smoke heads back into northern Wisconsin on Friday.
Those who suffer from asthma or heart disease are asked to limit any outdoor or strenuous activities and stay indoors if possible.
You are asked to keep quick-relief medicine handy and contact your health provider if you experience any symptoms.
Seehafer Broadcasting will provide updates on the air quality forecasts as conditions can change quickly during wildfire smoke events.
