The deadline to name a City of Sheboygan truck is running out.
The Sheboygan Department of Public Works Name that Truck contest will come to an end on August 1st.
The DPW’s fleet consists of numerous trucks and other vehicles that are used to clean streets, prune trees, and improve local roadways.
This is a community contest that encourages Sheboygan residents to enter the running for a chance to name one of the many in the fleet.
The primary trucks looking for names will include garbage trucks, street sweepers, and dump trucks that also serve as snow plows in the winter.
This contest will be open to all community members; however, submissions must be on topic, and any offensive or derogatory names will not be accepted.
The community members picked as the winners will then have the opportunity to have their name featured on a DPW truck and get a photo with the vehicle receiving its new name.
Those interested in making a submission can find a link to do so on the Sheboygan DPW Facebook page.
