The Two Rivers Public School District is getting a grant from the city’s energy supplier.
WPPI Energy awarded the district an $8,000 energized education grant, which could be used toward a proposed outdoor classroom powered by renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind.
A student advisory board will be set up to support the project.
At last week’s Two Rivers City Council Meeting, Electric Utility Director Brian Dellemann announced that the 400 students would be able to go outside and participate in various projects.
