A man has died following a fire in Winnebago County.
The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office was sent to the 2900 block of Oakridge Road in the Town of Clayton at 9:35 a.m. Saturday (July 26th), on a report of a residential fire.
The first deputy arrived on the scene and found a roof on fire and the entire house filled with smoke
. Numerous fire departments worked to put the blaze out and found a deceased man inside.
The identity of the man is not being released to the public at this time, and the fire is still under investigation. Winnebago County Sheriff’s Deputies also said their thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of those involved.
The department was also assisted by the Town of Clayton Fire Department, the Town of Neenah Fire Department, Fox Crossing Fire Department, the Town of Winchester Fire Department, the Town of Oshkosh Fire Department, the Boom Bay Fire Department, the Town of Vinland Fire Department, the Greenville Fire Department, and Gold Cross Ambulance Service.
