Model airplanes will be hitting the skies in Fond du Lac next month.
The annual Warbirds & Classics Over the Midwest event will be held at Wellnitz Field from August 14th through the 17th, running from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day.
This event will feature more than 125 RC pilots from across the United States. The RC aircraft will include the namesake warbirds and other classics with wingspans reaching up to 20 feet wide.
Pilots will perform formation flying and simulated bomb drops with aircraft that can hit speeds up to 200 miles per hour.
Entry to the event will cost $15 per vehicle, which will give patrons access to all four days of festivities.
Attendees will also be able to enjoy food vendors, prizes to win, celebrity pilots, and much more.
Those hoping to attend are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs for seating while viewing the RC pilots.
