The victims of a fatal collision in Fond du Lac County earlier this week have been identified.
The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office has shared that 81-year-old Mary Naggatz of Sun Prairie lost her life in a head-on collision that occurred Tuesday (July 22nd) on Highway 151 in the Town of Oakfield.
Another individual, 59-year-old Daniel Strum of Waupun, sustained serious injuries during the crash and was transported to a medical facility for treatment.
Authorities say that Naggatz was traveling southbound on 151 when she suffered some kind of medical emergency.
This resulted in her vehicle crossing over the grass median and entering the southbound lane.
She then collided, head-on, with Strum’s vehicle.
A third vehicle was also sideswiped during the accident; however, no injuries were reported to any occupants of that vehicle.
At this time, the fatal accident remains under investigation by the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office.
