Ruby G. Mueller, age 92, a Manitowoc resident, passed away Monday, July 21, 2025 at Shady Lane Nursing Home, Manitowoc.
She was born June 7, 1933 in Kolberg, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Louis and Frieda (Kay) Maedke. Ruby was employed at Mirro Aluminum for many years and was a member of Steel Workers of America. On January 3, 1955 she married Reginald Swetlick in Dubuque, Iowa. He preceded her in death in 1965. She then married Edward Mueller on September 6, 1973 in Ironwood, Michigan. He preceded her in death in 2015. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness), and Manitowoc Senior Center.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Thomas (Judy) Swetlick, Saukville, WI, one granddaughter: Megan (Brad) Graham and their daughter Allison; two step-grandchildren: Brian Binter and Catherine (Socrate) Mateo-Zayas and their children: Grace, Andrew, Noah, and one on the way. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband: Reginald Swetlick; second husband: Edward Mueller; one brother: Gary (Marilyn) Maedke; four sisters and five brothers-in-law: Violet (Ernest) Kumbalek, Ella (Marcus) Pagel, Edna (Roger) Krueger, and Mildred Jaeger (Leonard Popelars and Harvey Jaeger).
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 25, 2025 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1712 Menasha Avenue, Manitowoc. Officiating the service will be the Rev. Jonathan Huehn. Ruby will be laid to rest at Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Town of Kossuth.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Friday, July 25, 2025 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Manitowoc.
