
Robert B. Fidler, age 87, a Manitowoc resident, entered eternal life on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at Harbor View Assisted Living in Manitowoc.
Bob was born on January 8, 1938 in Manitowoc. He was the son of the late Bernard and Clara Shedivy Fidler. Bob attended Lincoln High School and graduated with the class of 1956. He continued his education with a four year apprenticeship as a mechanical draftsman at Hamilton Manufacturing in Two Rivers. For the following six years Bob was employed as a mechanical draftsman at Manitowoc Engineering Company. He then became employed with Meadow Lanes North and West as a pinsetter and doing mechanical maintenance along with being the groundskeeper for Meadow Links Golf Course for 40 years. On August 25, 1962 he married Judith L. Cook in Coleman. She preceded him in death on August 10, 2024. Bob was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Eagles Aerie #706 of Manitowoc, Kenny’s Athletic Club, along with numerous bowling and softball leagues.
He is survived by his three children, Denise (Rick) Jessel, Little Suamico, Nadine (Fernando) Minglana, Sheboygan, Kevin (Sarah) Fidler, Manitowoc, ; eight grandchildren, Samantha, Elizabeth, Avery, Casey, Cassandra, Nicholai, Brandon, and Alexander (Autumn); three great grandchildren, Anslee, Sollaire, Cecelia; seven sisters, Janet Clark, Florida, Patricia Holler, Manitowoc, Sharon Beneschek, Green Bay, Marlene (Greg) Lauffenberg, Milwaukee, Susan (Dennis) Ciesclak, Milwaukee, Terri Sosalla, Milwaukee, Elaine (Dan) Hielinski, Milwaukee; nieces, nephews, along with other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Clara Fidler, his wife, Judy, one brother, Dennis Fidler and one sister, Diane Seefeldt.
Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Marshall, 2109 Marshall Street, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Doug LeCaptain. Relatives and friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Monday, July 28, 2025 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. The visitation will continue on Tuesday at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Marshall from 10:30 until the time of services at 11:30. Following the funeral service a luncheon will be held at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center, 620 North Water Street, Manitowoc, located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Cremation will take place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel with placement of his cremated remains at the Harmony Haven Columbarium in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc, at a later date.
