There are some new signs up around Manitowoc Public Utilities.
The No Trespassing signs were installed near the “warm waters” of the power plant, where treated water is released by the plant.
MPU says it’s not meant to deter swimming, but rather to prevent people from climbing up on the rocks or on the outflow, as both can pose dangers.
The city power company says they appreciate the respect and commitment to safety while people enjoy the special area of the lake.
