A member of law enforcement in Two Rivers has been honored by the American Legion for her exemplary work.
The Two Rivers Police Department has shared that Assistant Chief Melissa Wiesner has received the statewide 2025 Edward J Ormsby Law and Order Award.
Assistant Chief Wiesner was nominated by the Two Rivers American Legion Post 165 for their Officer of the Year Award.
This nomination then put her in the running for the Law and Order Award among 11 other nominees from across the state, and this past weekend, she was named the winner at the 2025 Wisconsin American Legion Conference.
In their congratulations, TRPD stated, “This award is presented to a well-rounded law enforcement officer who has exceeded duty requirements of his or her position and has demonstrated a distinct pattern of community service coupled with professional achievement.”
