A Sheboygan man who was shot after disarming a police officer last year is now facing a new charge.
According to court records, 24-year-old Tommie Dixon has been charged with attempted 1st-degree intentional homicide.
It’s not known if that’s related to the police incident in 2024.
He returned to Sheboygan County Court Monday (July 21st) in his first case before having a hearing on his attempted homicide charges.
Judge Rebecca Persick set two hearings in each case.
Dixon was arrested in September last year after Sheboygan Police were called to the 1500 block of North 13th Street for claims of a man waving a gun.
According to police, Dixon lunged at an officer, assaulted them, and took the officer’s firearm.
A second officer on scene then shot Dixon eight times.
He will return to court on July 30th.
