Miller Lite is marking its 50th anniversary by handing out free beer across the country.
On Friday, August 1st, also International Beer Day, the brewery will give away 50,000 beers at 450 participating bars nationwide.
The celebration will include a special “Beer Drop” event at a Milwaukee brewery, modeled after a New Year’s Eve countdown.
The company’s vice president of marketing called the giveaway a tribute to “five decades of Miller Time.”
