An upcoming event in Manitowoc County looks to connect community members with local museums.
The Manitowoc County Historical Society will be hosting the Hometown History Expo on August 9th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
This event will be held in partnership with other local history museums, including the Mishicot Historical Museum and the St. Nazianz and Two Rivers Historical Societies.
Guests can further their local history knowledge with three hands-on workshops that will be held during the Hometown History Expo as well.
They will include Research 101, Preserving Family Treasures, and Storing, Archiving, and Exhibiting on a Tight Budget.
The expo experience and the workshops will be included in general admission at the Historical Society, which will be $15 for adults, $13 for seniors, $10 for those four through 17, and free for children under four years old.
