The Brillion Fire Department remains prepared for rural fire calls.
The department ran their annual large water movement and rural fire operations drill on Monday (July 21st) to practice taking water out of Round Lake, shuttling it by tenders to dump tanks located on Round Lake Road.
The water was then pumped through different trucks to a ladder truck to practice spraying the water.
Water flowed continuously for 50 minutes, which means 81,000 gallons were used during the test.
Other fire departments from Manitowoc County, including Reedsville, Collins, and Valders, participated in the drill. Departments from Chilton, Forest Junction, Potter, Morrison, and Hollandtown also showed up.
