The Sheboygan Area School District (SASD) is celebrating the success of its students from this past school year.
The district’s 2025 Points of Pride community report has been released, showing areas of improvement, growth, and student wellbeing.
Academic growth was a highlight of the report, showing that 68% of elementary and 65% of middle school students met or exceeded growth targets in reading, while high school junior ACT scores remained above average as compared to other similar districts.
Another major high point for the district was the more than 3,000 dual credit enrollments, which saved Sheboygan students $3.6 million on college tuition while getting ahead on associate or bachelor’s degrees.
SASD’s student support services also played a large part in their success, with more than 6,000 mental health sessions provided, 293 homeless students supported, and over 1.3 million free meals served.
SASD serves more than 9,300 students across the district, which includes 25 schools at the elementary, middle, and high school levels.
