The woman behind the wheel during a police chase in Fond du Lac has entered her plea.
Court records show that 19-year-old Kaitlynn Ray appeared in court on Friday (July 18th) for her arraignment.
Ray has been charged with 22 felonies and three misdemeanors, including nine counts of First-Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, five counts of OWI Causing Injury, and Fleeing or Eluding an Officer.
At Friday’s hearing, Ray pled not guilty to all 25 charges she faces while also waiving her right to a preliminary hearing.
The 19-year-old was arrested on the evening of May 30th after leading authorities on a pursuit that ended with a high-speed crash in Downtown Fond du Lac.
At times while fleeing, she was clocked going over 80MPH in posted 30MPH zones and struck seven different civilian vehicles.
Shortly after entering the heavily trafficked downtown area, Ray would crash her SUV, which became disabled in the middle of the street. It caught fire shortly after, causing her to escape out of the vehicle’s sunroof before being placed into custody.
Ray will return to court on August 29th, where her pleas will be discussed at a plea and sentencing hearing.
