The Sheboygan County SaberCats proved why they are the #10-ranked team in the country Saturday as they steamrolled the Southern Lakes Blue Devils.
The Cats used a strong performance by quarterback Justin Billiot to pick up a 53-6 win at Lakeland University.
Billiot was a perfect 13 for 13 throughout the air for 211 yards and 4 touchdowns, while also rushing for 40 yards and 2 more touchdowns.
Veteran Wide Receiver Steve Strong had a very efficient day with 4 catches for 69 yards and 3 touchdowns, while Ty Nelson snagged 4 catches for 49 yards and a touchdown.
Running Back Larry Rivers had tough sledding out of the backfield, taking his 8 carries for 83 yards, but those numbers were inflated by a 53-yard touchdown run in the 2nd quarter.
Deondra Kelly also rushed for a touchdown on one of his two carries on the day.
The win improves the SaberCats’ record to a perfect 8-0, with one more regular season game on the schedule.
The Cats will be back at Lakeland University this Saturday to take on the Red Cedar Raptors.
