A Sheboygan County teen is set to be sentenced following a child sexual assault trial.
17-year-old Spencer Dietrich will appear in court today (July 18th) for his sentencing hearing at 11:00 a.m. after a jury found the teen guilty of Child Abuse – Intentionally Causing Harm and two counts of Intimidating a Victim with the Use of Force in April.
While originally being charged with nine felonies, the jury found Dietrich not guilty of all other charges, including sexual assault and incest with a child, among others.
This sentencing will bring to an end a months-long saga that included Dietrich and another teen, 17-year-old Cole Guttmann, who have both been found guilty of charges stemming from an incident that took place in April of last year.
The two teenagers were alleged to have forced two young brothers into performing sexual acts on each other before distributing a video of the incident.
Guttman has since been convicted of Second-Degree Sexual Assault of a Child and is serving a four-year prison sentence.
As both the suspects and the victims involved are minors, it will be uncertain what sentence Dietrich receives until it is made official in the Wisconsin Circuit Court records database.
