The man accused of kidnapping 7-year-old Jamal White is making significant allegations about the boy’s mother.
Corey Williams, 25, told police he targeted Shavon Williams for a robbery on July 11th, claiming she is a known drug dealer.
According to investigators, the planned robbery escalated into a kidnapping when Williams and his accomplices took Jamal at gunpoint.
After internal conflict within the group, they allegedly attempted to ransom the boy for $100,000 and jewelry.
Jamal was discovered unharmed the next day, hiding in a Washington Park attic.
Shavon Williams has since been jailed but has not been formally charged.
