One of the most popular events of the year in Elkhart Lake kicks off today.
Road America’s WeatherTech Vintage Weekend with Brian Redman will run through Sunday (July 20th).
This is an event that is steeped in auto sports heritage, bringing together the last 100 years of racing history from open-wheel race cars to GT classics.
One of the weekend’s many highlights will be the kickoff parade, which will see all of the participating vintage cars parading through Elkhart Lake before parking in the Downtown area for patrons to get an up-close and personal view of the historic vehicles.
At the track, over 400 vintage racecars will take to the 4-mile course dubbed “America’s National Park of Speed” over the four days.
This year’s focus at Road America will he the historic cars from the early days of Formula 1 racing.
