A Milwaukee woman is facing charges of conspiracy to commit money laundering and mail fraud.
Authorities believe Evelyn Cross-Beacham played a role in a broader scam targeting older adults with fake tech support issues.
Investigators say Cross-Beacham allegedly deposited checks from victims, many over the age of 65, who thought they were paying for computer repairs.
In total, she’s accused of stealing $578,000 from seniors across several states.
