A local nonprofit focused on feeding the hungry is looking for feedback on one of its food assistance programs.
Grow It Forward Community Food Center’s Summer Feeding Program begins on July 29th, and the nonprofit has released a survey to gauge the public’s interest.
The Summer Feeding Program is open to all families with children up to 18 years old or 21 years old with disabilities.
Meals will be available for pick-up weekly, every Tuesday and Friday, at Grow It Forward and L.B. Clarke Middle School in Two Rivers between 4:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. and at Koenig Elementary, also in Two Rivers, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Each pick-up will include both breakfast and lunch meals.
However, those with children receiving summer meals at the Boys and Girls Club, Southfield, Y-Break, or any other meal program will not be eligible for the Summer Feeding Program.
If you qualify for the program and are interested in benefiting from it, Grow It Forward asks that you fill out a brief survey to help shape what it will look like once it begins.
A link to the survey can be found online by visiting the Grow It Forward Community Food Center Facebook page.
